Pediatric Urgent Care

For anyone in the area, I want to let you know about the fabulous care we received at the Pediatric Urgent Care in Williamsville.  IB got progressively worse over night.  We called his pediatrician in the morning.  They agreed that he needed to be seen immediately.  The doctor said we could go to the local Urgent Care or we could drive up to Pediatric Urgent Care in Williamsville.  We opted to make the drive.  Here’s what we experienced:

  • Comfortable waiting area with nooks and crannies for privacy.  Nice when your kids don’t want people staring at them as they feel miserable.
  • A Keurig coffee maker with tables.  Hot chocolate available too.
  • Super nice reception staff.
  • Friendly nurses.  Not “fake kid friendly” either.
  • Nurses who explain to your child exactly what they are going to do.
  • Nurses who are kind and calm.
  • Honest to goodness beds in the examination rooms.  The rooms look like mini hotel rooms.
  • Baskets of books in each room for kids.
  • A TV in each room.
  • A Pediatrician from Children’s Hospital.
  • A stuffed animal or little drawstring backpack to take home.

IB is feeling much better today.  Thanks to Pediatric Urgent Care.  We hope we don’t have to go back anytime soon, but if we have an after hours emergency we’ll be heading there.

  3. I think pediatric urgent care plays an important role in helping children doing some check ups especially when the doctors are not available in the hospital, they are the one who is helping to cure children that is having some illness.
